In the midst of celebrating a burst of creative energy, we provided a quiet space - at the festival as well as inside - for many who were open to learning something about the world and themselves from a Jewish perspective through the arts. One of the participants was Barry, one of the main organizers of Figment. He said, 'I haven't had such a meaningful, beautiful Jewish experience in years,' and he invited Art Kibbutz to the closing circle of the whole festival to give a blessing and present Jewish perspectives on peace.

Open Studios and NaNach Chassidic Electro Party in 2015
On Sunday, June 7th our Creative Family Circle co-sponsored Art Kibbutz's first Open Studios of the season as part of Figment. Thousands of visitors viewed art-in-progress, met artists-in-residence, enjoyed Jewish learning, presentations, readings, Jewish art workshops for all ages, and live music. Art Kibbutz artists were featured at FIGMENT Festival's Main Stage. We provided a 'Party like a true Chassid' dance event featuring the Na Nach Van from Monsey with fun, Chassidic spirit to electro party, which was a good fit for: performers Blanket StatementStein and ShinShinMem spread simcha and made homies dance. We ended the day with a children's concert with Mr Shabbos and hands-on art workshops.
On June 5th, 2016 our team of artists participated at a busy day of art making when Governor's Island was transformed into an artsy playland with an art minigolf course, architectural pavilion, interactive sculptures, and over 130 projects. Art Kibbutz presented its first Open Studios of the season. Photos
