Arthur Kurzweil has published hundreds of books of Jewish interest over the past thirty-five years, and has also written several books including two books in the "Dummies" series, Torah for Dummies and Kabbalah for Dummies; two books on Jewish genealogy, From Generation to Generation and My Generations; and two books about Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, On the Road with Rabbi Steinsaltz and Pebbles of Wisdom.
Arthur is also a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He and his wife Bobby live on Long Island's North Shore.
Shira Dicker is a writer, publicist, creative PR and event producer. She creates surprising, innovative & multi-disciplinary projects, such as open mikes, flash mobs, public art projects that invite participants to speak their respective spiritual truths and engage with Jewish practices in refreshing ways.
Shira served on Art Kibbutz's Advisory Board for 5 years and participated at every residencies and most public programs.
At Art Kibbutz's first residency at Eden Village she created a Torah Trope Project incorporating dance & visual arts with her ‘performance’. She was the visionary behind the global Shofar Flashmob in 2013. In 2015 she created the 7 Minutes Between Heaven and Earth project at Shmita ArtFest. In 2016 Shira brought the New York Times Summer Academy to our Governor's Island location. Shira represented Art Kibbutz at the Jewish Federations of North America's General Assembly in Washington DC. In 2017 Shira joined Art Kibbutz's Board of Directors and curated the
Wonder Woman project at the New York Poetry Festival.
Jade Netanya Ullmann
Jade Netanya Ullmann is a Board Member at Romemu, the NYC transformative center for Judaism. Jade is on the board of ALEPH, Alliance for Jewish Renewal. Jade received her BA degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where she was the West Coast Area Coordinator for Students for a Free Tibet. She sits on the board of Common Fire Foundation, the builders of the highest-level green building on the Eastern US. Jade is a member of the Threshold Foundation and has been involved in funding circles and grant making focused on restorative justice, co-existence, and community organizing. She is also involved in her family foundation. Jade is the Development Officer and Connector for MAPS, Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies.
Jade has served on Art Kibbutz's Advisory Board since 'Day One' and has been generously helping our community with friendly advice, her own personal connections, financial support, sometimes well deserved criticism, and always heartfelt encouragement.
