Sarah Zell Young
Sarah Zell Young is the Associate Director, National Programs at Hazon, the nation's largest faith-based environmental organization. She is excited to bring creativity to an organization that shares her values of learning from the wisdom of Jewish tradition to create a sustainable world for all. She has over 10 years of non-profit organizational management experience. She designs and delivers innovative financial and administrative solutions and Implements dynamic, learner-centered programs informed by extensive knowledge of current educational practices, Jewish/ Israel studies, and the arts. She earned her MFA in visual art from Hunter College and is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Sarah has exhibited her work and given talks about her work internationally including in the United States, Mexico, Hungary, and Israel. She was the inaugural arts fellow at Pardes, an art fellow at Drisha, and a Dorot fellow. Sarah has created experiential artist projects for the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA), Hadassah-Brandeis Institute (HBI), Jewish Theological Seminary, Boston University, and others. She has been an artist in residence at numerous Jewish institutions including Brandeis University, American Jewish University (BCI), and the Havurah Institute. Sarah has a certificate in Jewish education from Midreshet Lindenbaum and experiential Jewish Education from M2. She has also trained with Anne Bogart and the SITI company.
In 2016 Sarah worked at Art Kibbutz and Artistic Director. Sarah returned to perform with Art Kibbutz at the 'Seeing the Voices' Benefit Party at the JCC in Harlem in March 2018. In June 2018 Sarah participated in our Invisible Jew exhibition.

Sarah is an artist-in-residence at Art kibbutz's pop-up event on October 26th 2021 at the Chelsea Market. She is presenting CONVERSE NYC: Learning Shmita - public art project engaging with the Biblical tradition of Shmita and its modern application.
